This month was NOTHING like the last… in the fact that he came and went in the blink of an eye. It was full of fun and new adventures. Enjoy a monthly recap of February.

1. Visited Zack in Oklahoma

Let’s start this off strong! I got to visit my hubby in Oklahoma this month! It was an amazing weekend. Zack was able to have a four day break and we purchased a plane ticket as soon as we knew about it. We were honestly weary of Oklahoma at first. You don’t hear much about it, haha. But we actually really, really enjoyed it. We were happy to go to the gym together and even we gambled a little at the black jack tables. Then we finished the trip off by spending an evening in OKC.

The flights were a good time to read and DFW was a HUGE airport!

Is she a pup? Or a cat? Cute either way. I loved getting to meet her!

The Botanical Gardens in OKC blew our minds with its beauty.

Our fancy hotel in OKC!

Then we found the coolest restaurants. I love a good basket of fries!

Breakfast the last morning was too good to our taste buds. I wish I could go back right now!

Lawton had a really small airport and the sunset view was incredible.

2. Job Promotion

Most of you know that I also have a full time job outside of photography. I work for a health care company based in Louisville, Kentucky and excitingly accepted a promotion this month. This new position is graciously allowing me to work remotely come the summer when my husband and I move to North Carolina. I am so grateful for this company. I never would have guessed I’d be where I am in my professional career but I’m loving every minute of it.

3. Finished two books

It’s always a goal of mine to read more… and hopefully “scroll less.” With all of my traveling this month, I was able to finish three books! Talking to Strangers by Malcom Goodwell, The Dressmakers’s Gift by Fiona Valpy and the The Enneagram Type 2 by Beth McCord. Some books were easier to get into than others, but at the end, I loved them all and found them to be interesting reads.

4. I launched my Private Photo Editing Website

Last, but not least… I’m happy to share I launched a second website fully dedicated to my Private Photo Editing business. You can check it out here. I’ve been serving and empowering other wedding photographers through the journey of outsourcing since last summer. I’ve finally decided to make a home for it on the web so I could share with you all.

5. And if you really want to know, I also ate a lot of pizza.

Not sure if this is noteworthy, but I’m multitasking while writing this by also keeping a mental grocery list right now and I’m genuinely impressed with how many oven pizzas are no longer in the freezer!

That’s a wrap, yall! I hope you enjoyed my February Recap. I know I’ll love these even more at the end of the year when I read them again. It’s fun to share but also just to document my year as it goes. Until next time… 🙂
