My favorite time of the year is HERE! The holidays! We love to kick it off with a happy Friendsgiving!
This was our third year hosting the annual Friendsgiving at our home. We didn’t know when we started this event a few years ago that our friends would love it as much as they do. It’s an event we look forward to every November.
As you may know, I’m not the cook in the house, but I do enjoy cooking all afternoon so I can have a turkey, ham and stuffing for our friends. Then everyone else brings another dish with them! Our menu is filled with potatoes, beans, desserts and more. We have so many dishes that we run out of counter space and actually had to use the dog kennel as a drink station this time, haha!
Sadly, this is our last time hosting it in our Old Kentucky Home before we move to North Carolina next year. We hope that we can either host it for new friends next year or maybe travel home to see who is going to take over the tradition after us.
After Friendsgiving, we get to celebrate again with our Family. This year, we chose to rent a cabin in Red River Gorge, Kentucky and spend time relaxing and (probably) eating more than we should! We got married at RRG this past spring and we were so excited to spend more time in one of our favorite places!
Zack and I were also very intentional about putting our phones away this trip. We find ourselves too attached to them most days and wanted to soak in some quality family time. It was a beautiful four days in the park and the rain on the tin roof made for some great napping! The day after Thanksgiving, we even found a beautiful location for some updated family photos.
Things I’m Thankful This Year:
- My husband & both of our families
- My clients, you all make my creative business heart so happy!
- Our pets <3
Enjoy a few highlights of our Red River Gorge Trip.
