August was a whirlwind of so many fun and exciting things, so I didn’t have much time to read this month. But I did have time to listen to my audiobooks in between meetings, while driving to meet friends and while editing wedding galleries! Now, I will always prefer holding a book and turning the pages but when you aren’t able to do that, technology is your absolute best friend.
I downloaded Audible a few weeks ago and found that some books on Amazon have a Buy the Kindle Version, got the Audible book FREE. What a great find!! That way I can listen and take the information in, but I am more of a visual person, I like to actually see things, so I also have a printed eversion to review and take my notes on at a later time. One of my books this month was available in this format and it was a game changer.
Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

About
This book is all about your financial health. Are you in debt? Are you getting by? What can you do to live comfortable financially and be prepared for emergencies if (or when) they arrive? It’s an attainable goal and mind set is a part of the plan. Whether you are in finances, Dave Ramsey debunks myths surrounding debt and gives you an action plan to overcome any problems you and your family may have incurred in your life. And it’s never too late to start! I have written out my plan to become debt free, but I’ll have to tackle some student loans. Anyone else with me on that?

Recommend
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone! Whether you are an experienced business owner, someone starting out their business, or just someone trying to get in control of their finances. It’s not a long book, a fairly quick and easy read but has so much knowledge and depth. I’m ready to put these practices into work! Honestly, I have put this book off for awhile. Thinking it may be a waste of my time. How is a book going to help me when I feel like I’m always behind? But Dave Ramsey put so much into perspective for me. It’s a lifestyle change and I’m ready to start.
What are you reading this month? I’d love to hear your recommendations for my reading list next month!
